Safety First, beautiful photo later...

"Oh how did you get that deer to pose with the baby!"

Well, I didn't, my daughter was 11 days old here the deer was about the same age she was jumping around everywhere and just being the baby deer she was.  I try to be the best photographer I can for each individual I shoot.  With newborns I am very careful with their tiny bodies, this little person is someone's whole world I don't put them in an unsafe situation for the sake of a cute photo.  My daughter was no where near this baby deer she was safe and sound through this entire photo process.

Let me show you....

Here is the "photo" actually 2 photos, SOOC.  My daughter Mia was placed onto the blanket first, and with someone supporting her head at all times I took the photo.  Mia was picked up and the deer was then put onto the blanket and IMMEDIATELY starting jumping around even where I had my daughter.  I should tell you now even a deer that young can cause damage with their hooves.  I knew beforehand that the deer was unruly I mean it's a baby c'mom how do you think it's gonna act? The deer took more time to take a photo of after running and jumping finally she just walked through my shooting view and this photo above was one of the shots.  She was on a leash at all times and my daughter was SAFE at all times.  Her safety was more important to me than getting a cute shot.

Safety is important, babies are important, peace of mind is important.

From these 2 photos to....

I know I have a lot to learn when it comes to photography, I may not have it all down yet but I know what I want and where I am going.  I know that with newborns (which is where I want to specialize) I am doing my absolute best to create beautiful images the parents and family will love while also respecting the human life in front of me and keeping them safe and secure through the entire process.
